Goalkeeping Clinics
Ages 12 - 16
Edge Goalkeeping Clinics are different from any other Goalkeeping Clinics in the area! Goalies in our GK Clinics alternate between working with our Goalie Coach to get goalie specific training/drills/skills and then taking live shots from players in our Finishing clinics from various distances, angles, speeds, etc.
This is offered to boys and girls ages 12 - 16 and playing at all levels. All goalies must bring their own gloves - Edge does not provide these.
We'll also be adding other Goalie specific programs and/or camps in the future so stay tuned!
*please note that if Akira is unable to coach at Edge due to traveling with the pro team, there will be a substitute GK Coach.
A little bit about our Goalie coach, Akira Fitzgerald:
Akira was born in Japan and grew up in Baltimore, MD. He played collegiately at Wake Forest University from 2006 - 2010 where the teams went to four College Cups and won the 2007 National Championship. Akira started his professional career with the Carolina Railhawks (now North Carolina FC) and has played for over 13 years. For the last three years he has also been the goalkeeping coach for the Richmond Kickers pro team and holds his US Soccer B Coaching license.
$30 per clinic, per player
Goalkeeping offered on the following days/times:
Fridays at 7:15pm
*no training dates for 2024: May 24, June 28, July 5, Nov 29, Dec 27

Refund Policy
Edge does not offer refunds for any camp, class, clinic, party or field rental. If you decide to cancel what you registered for or if a session is canceled by Edge for whatever reason, a credit will be placed on your account for future purchase of any camp/class/clinic. The credit does not expire. Or if you prefer, we can enroll your child in a different camp/class. If there is a price difference, you'll just need to pay the difference. If it's a party, we'll work with you to select a different day.
