Wow!! We hope everyone is enjoying this magical month as much as we are. It feels like waiting 4 years takes forever for the World Cup to arrive but once it does, the games fly by. Before we know it, a champion will be crowned and we’ll have a few weeks to try to catch our breaths before European football begins again!

What can we say about the World Cup this year? Well, it has been nothing short of amazing, as usual. We’ve gotten to see a little of everything so far. Cinderella stories, world powerhouses on the brink of not advancing out of their groups, breathtaking goals, lockdown defenses, and even a couple of absolute blunders from goalkeepers!

With only 7 teams on maximum points going into the last games of the group stages, the tournament seems to still be up for grabs. Croatia has impressed the most for me. Stepping up their game for this tournament, they have played great football. Their display against Argentina exemplifies that perfectly. Luka Modric is such a fantastic player and then pairing him with club rival Rakitic in the middle, you’ve got a recipe for success.

England seems to have found their footing a bit after a tight game against Tunisia, firing in 6 goals against Panama in their second game. In that same group, Belgium looks to be up to the task of battling for first place. The game between the 2 group leaders should be a really fun game to watch.
France seems to still be figuring out their identity. At such a young age, 19 year old French international, Mbappe is working hard to show the world just how good he is, on the biggest stage. It’s almost frightening how talented that kid really is, already!

Brazil is always a front runner at World Cups. If Neymar can let some of his world class teammates help share the load he has put on himself, we think they could go far.

Mexico is representing the CONCACAF very well with a massive, and deserved, win over the reigning champions Germany. They also look like they will be a team no other will want to face in the knockout rounds. Germany, on the other hand, looked out of sorts against Mexico. Yet, they did pull off a fantastic result against Sweden with the Real Madrid midfield maestro Toni Kroos, hitting as clutch of a game-winning free kick as you’d like in the 93rd minute!

Can the host nation continue to power themselves deeper into contention for glory? Will Ronaldo lead the Portuguese to an unlikely championship like he did at the Euro’s 2 years ago? Can Messi and Argentina even make it out of their group? Will we have a repeat winner or will a new country stamp their place in history? Will we see some more shock results as this tournament continues on into the knockout rounds…? We can tell you with a smile on our faces that we still haven’t seen the best of what the World Cup has to offer this summer!

Keep watching, keep enjoying and keep learning!
